Victorian Buckle Motif Band Ring in Rose Gold

Sold  Item: 1569A

The buckle motif design has come to represent the unbroken tie of friendship and love. The turn of the century represented the most popular time of using the buckle and you can still see it today in rings and bracelets. Look at Cartier and their iconic ruby and diamond buckle from the 1940s! Here we have a Victorian era ring in 9ct rose gold (acid tested) designed with a foliate motif around the shank; fully hallmarked though much wear to the hallmark. Owning this is like wearing a bit of history, which, to us is the most exciting part of antique jewelry.
